No it looks nice
all this media coverage has been a virtual holiday brochure, you don’t normally get to see places like that before you go.

My children have never been left alone on holiday so it wouldn’t concern me for that reason,

No. Everyone must remember that when you visit another country, you are subject to their Legal System, or lack there of.

No I have been there and whilst it is lovely it does have some dodgy places just like every other place does. If I go again I would be more aware that there might be a potential killer lurking.

Not sure. I would worry if I ever had to avail myself of the services of their police force.

Nope, you’d have to be ignorant to think that way.
Parents who neglect their kids can lose them in any country.
Fifty Fi, Oh really? I suppose you have a source for that claim? Cos last time I checked it was the UK who had the most number of child molesters.

I’m not sure I like the heat but one thing I will say and that is that I have never met a more kind and charming people than the Portuguese. I am extremely indignant about what is being said about them!

Portugal has the highest number of pedophiles in Europe.
That said I wouldn’t leave my children alone. But, yes it has put my off going to Portugal.
