Historical development of Azerbaijani State [History]

Azerbaijan is one of the oldest spots of civilization, a country with a rich and ancient history. A rich cultural heritage has been created on its territory over the span of many millenniums, contributing to the treasure-house of World culture. The discovery of Azykh cave, the earliest habitation of man to be found in the world, and a number of habitations of the ancient Stone Age prove that Azerbaijan enters the zone of anthropoids to reveal the birthplace of mankind. The main traces of civilization are viewed in Azerbaijan. Archaeologist dates the first human settlements in present day Azerbaijan to the Stone Age. Pre-historic cave dwellings have been excavated throughout Azerbaijan, one of the more important being the excavation at Gobustan, famous for its rock paintings. The roots of present day Azerbaijan trace back to the fourth century BC, with the emergence of the two kingdoms of Caucasian Albania in the north, and the Atropatan in the south. The latter takes its name from its founder, Atropat, a satrap of Alexander the Great. In fact many historians believe the word “Azerbaijan” itself derives from Atropatan, whereas others think that it means “The country of fire”. At the beginning of our era, Azerbaijan faced one of the most turbulent periods of its history. It was occupied by the Sassanids Empire of Iran in the 3rd century AD. Under Sassanid Empire in 2nd through 6th centuy AD, Zoroastarianism was the dominant religion of Azerbaijan. King’s Temple of

  2. KebabUdalGuzem Says:

so this bashri guy says this? can you tell me where I can read this? does bashri say where he got that information from or he just says it without giving us evidence of where he gets his information from? (because believe me, you show me one historian who says what you say, i can show you thousands who say what i say).

  3. KebabUdalGuzem Says:

    so?

  4. MrAzerbaijan1 Says:

Almost all the sources I get is not originated from Azerbaijan. It is a written fact that Bashiri said “Atropatene(Azerbaijan) was included in Selecuid’s share of the empire within the Selecuid dynasty Atropatene’s(Azerbaijan’s) name was changed to Albania (330 BC)”.
NOTE: Bashiri had a Persian background. Why would a Persian say this? lol. You get my point. Azerbaijan existed above and below Arax river.
I am not surprised at your jealousy. It is typical for you.

    KebabGuzemUdel,
I have already gave you the historians that said this about Azerbaijan. Go search them up and you will find their quotes about Azerbaijan.
If you the truth, read the comments that I left you in the bottom. I don’t think you read them at all.

  6. KebabUdalGuzem Says:

yes yes! you are right! you know so much about history, I am amazed! (and a little jealous :$

you make those historians spread all around the world, with a major in history, with hundreds of different ethnic backgrounds, and who essentially don’t live in or come from, or involved in the republic of Azerbaijan, look insignificant.

can you back what you say using sources that do not originate in Azerbaijan?

  7. MrAzerbaijan1 Says:

    KebabGuzemUdel,
One more thing, the Emirate of Azerbaijan formed under the Arabic empire with all Babek’s help to free out the Azerbaijanis from Arabs. Emirate of Azerbaijan covered all the parts of Azerbaijan in around 8th to 9th century AD.

  8. MrAzerbaijan1 Says:

    KebabGuzemUdel,
Before typing all the bullshit you can, I have blocked you because you are obviously not a smart person. You have no knowledge about history, might as well open up a history book.

  9. MrAzerbaijan1 Says:

    KebabGuzemUdel,
In 16th century, Azerbaijan made its own empire called Safavid Empire. Azerbaijani Safavids like the King Shah Ismail ruled the whole Caucasus, Iran, Armenia, and many more nations. Even the language was declared as Azerbaijani language by Shah Ismail. This empire once more expanded the Azerbaijani borders as Azerbaijani safavid has control over it.

  10. MrAzerbaijan1 Says:

As late as the 13th century, Azeri was still spoken in all parts of Azerbaijan, as Yaqut al-Hamavi testifies :
“Its(Azerbaijan’s) inhabitants have beautiful faces and delicate skin and speak a language which is called -Azeriyeh, which no one understands but they themselves.”

  11. MrAzerbaijan1 Says:

    KebabGuzemUdel,
According to Mosey Kalankaytuksiy, North Kingdom Albania is identical to the name Azerbaijan(Atropatene) both meaning “Land of Fireous man”.
Also, According to Persian historian Bashiri, he stated : “Atropatene(Azerbaijan) was included in Selecuid’s share of the empire within the Selecuid dynasty Atropatene’s(Azerbaijan’s) name was changed to Albania (330 BC)
Azerbaijan existed above Arax and below Arax in 330 BC.

  12. KebabGuzemUdel Says:

Armenians are going to return the maps back to how it was: we’re going to get rid of all Azeris!!! Let the world know this!

  13. KebabGuzemUdel Says:

according to historians, there was never azerbaijan above the arax river. even Kaveh Farrokh who is azerbaijani (from Iran) says so, and all other historians on his web site.

  14. AnarSumgait Says:

Azerbaijan comes from the depth of history proving that Caucasian Albania and Atropatene did survive. Our ancestors expanded our nation as much as they can so we could live in it !
    God bless you !

  15. SeaSnakeX Says:

I think this video contributes to knowledge on Azerbaijani history in the itnernet. Its good to see more and more active Azeris on YouTube with proper knowledge!

  16. MrAzerbaijan1 Says:

Yes, Azerbaijan kept itself developed for a while. 2nd century AD, Azerbaijan’s black pages of history began as many empires took our nation. But we became more developed in around 9th century AD with Babek’s help.
    Long Live Azerbaijan !

  17. WorldHistory000 Says:

Indeed, Atropatene and Caucasian Albania(Arran) were the ancient Azerbaijani kingdoms. In fact, there were in 400 BC and kept it strong for a good amount of time.
Thank you for the video, God bless you !
