Mary, the Ark of the New Covenant
God was very specific about every exact detail of the ark (Ex. 25-30). It was a place where God himself would dwell (Ex. 25:8). God wanted his words — inscribed on stone — housed in a perfect container covered with pure gold within and without. How much more would he want his Word — Jesus — to have a perfect dwelling place! If the only begotten Son were to take up residence in the womb of a human girl, would he not make her flawless? This video is done as a decade of the Rosary. ten statements, each on the birth of Jesus.

HearttofTopaz you are correct in saying that Protestants do not get persecuted like the Catholic church. Be glad. because….
Mathew 5
10Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11″Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

The bible says that Mary would be blessed!

I find that too many people judge the Catholic doctrine (which is scripturally sound and perfect), is false when they see some members of the church fall. That is a mistake, because NONE of us our perfect. There is just as many blunders found in Protestant churches with its members, and just as much dark history, yet for some reason, their wrong doings rarely make headline news. And yes, I know, because I saw it when I was a Protestant…so don’t deny it Protestants!

Many people also falsely think Jesus was opposed to an organizational house of prayer and worship to God…WRONG!
He and His family made pilgrimage many times to the Holy Jewish Temple. Christ taught in the same. Jesus did believe in ‘tradition’ as well. He only opposed the money changers in the Temple, as well as the cold hearted, yet very learned Pharisees. He wanted them to not only know and teach the law, but with open, loving, forgiving hearts. Jesus WAS NOT ANTI-ESTABLISHMENT!

I often hear many people refer to ‘the churh of people’ as just a body of believers without an organizational foundation. That is both true and untrue. Yes, there is the spiritual body of believers, but there must also be an organizational foundation, where Gods laws are preserved taught, and handed down. A place also of gathering for worship as well, building or not. Still however, there is the ‘place’ church.

People need to keep in mind, how the earlier followers of Christ spread out doing missionary work and preaching, while at the same time dodging persecution, which eventually caught up with many of them. They lived in poverty, and could not write down the teachings in text, or form real church gathering buildings. So yes, verbal Sacred Tradition is what they relied on for awhile, until writing tools and literacy became more wide spread.

The Protestant teachings in their many, many interpretations, did not exist, until just about the last 500 years. I prefer to believe the Church grounded in more history, and closer to the time of Christ. Although the first Christians did not call themselves Catholic until a little later (after real church organizations began to form), they all practiced via the Catholic Sacred traditions. The term Catholic, simply means ‘universal’ while referring to believers in Christ.

Protestants should also refer to 1 Timothy 3:15 which clearly states Gods church is the Pillar of Truth: “But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”

Furthermore, and using their own KJV of the bible, Protestants can refer to John 21:25, which states “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, that which if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written.” Anotherwords, all is not written. Writing materials back then were very expensive, and reserved mostly for rich scribes to utilize. Many common folks were illiterate too.

The early Apostles and disciples of Christ were busy spreading the Gospels verbally while being persecuted for same (these teachings fall into what we call Sacred Tradition…not man made tradition). It took awhile for the teachings of Christ to be written down in text.

Yes, the Catholic church preserved the ‘New Testament’ via monks for centuries. The Protestants would not have the New Testament, if not for the Catholic church. Protestants also need to study the Apostalic succession with uninterrupted lines. They expect 2000 years of Catholic history to be shared in YouTube text boxes? LOL They can also purchase a copy of the Catechism which is filled with scriptural references.

Why do you keep dodging my question?
I asked in a charitable way…..again…show me in the Bible where it says the Bible is the ONLY authority for Christians.
Once you provide your proof I will gladly leave my Catholic Faith.
July 21st, 2010 at 10:20 pm
Can you show me where it says the Bible itself is not the only authority? Is it not the Holy Word of God? Is the Church the word of God as well? Like I said, it is pointless.
Will you pray, brother?
I am looking forward to your reply.

Where are you coming up with these false statements???
Where did I say that God says not to follow Scripture? As a Christian I believe the Living Church and the Bible are to be followed. They go hand in hand.
You believe the Bible is the ONLY authority. Fine.
Show where in the Scriptures it says the Bible itself is the only authority.
If you can I will leave my Catholic Faith today and join your Church.
I am looking forward to your reply.

Show me where it says to follow anything other than the Word of God. So the Lord does not teach us to follow scripture? This argument is pointless. You seem to have a view of protestant vs catholic. Why not open your mind and ask God for the truth? Instead of arguing with me on Youtube you can be in prayer allowing God to reveal things to you. Don’t follow the traditions of man but the traditions of Christ. God has shown me the truth and that is all I can follow. I pray that He shows you too.

No it’s not new. It’s actually 2000 years old.
You don’t follow our Lord’s teachings…..for one you follow Sola Scriptura. Show me in the Bible where it says Scripture is the ONLY AUTHORITY.

The Gospel writers were Catholics? lol thats a new one. Doesn’t the Bible tell us that they were called Christians? I think you need to refresh your Bible knowledge and history of the Catholic Church. I follow the Doctrine of my lord Jesus Christ. Unlike the unbiblical man made doctrines of purgatory, veneration of Mary, perpetual virginity of Mary, praying to saints and to Mary, the papacy, calling the pope holy father, confession to priests, prayers for the dead, 7 sacraments, etc etc etc etc.
July 22nd, 2010 at 1:01 am
Taking all the credit away from God ??? Is this one of your many failed propaganda techniques???
The Gospel writers were Catholics in practice who were filled and inspired BY GOD to write the scriptures.
How is that taking credit from God?
I am not going to sit here and defend every single doctrine of the Catholic Faith. That’s not reasonable.
As a Protestant you have to contend with the fact that you follow man-made doctrines.
July 22nd, 2010 at 1:54 am
wow you take all the credit away from God and give it to the Catholic Church. The Church did not “write” the Bible. I sense a lot of anger and hostility. I am not “anti-catholic” but pro-truth. I would speak the same truth to any other religion. I did not know that we read different gospels, though it may seem as if we do. Could you please explain to me all the doctrines of the catholic church clearly using the Bible alone? There is no joke when it comes to God, we are dealing with eternity.
July 22nd, 2010 at 2:27 am
The only reason there is a Bible is because the Catholic Church wrote and preserved the Bible.
You Anti-Catholics showed up and decided by your false private interpretation that you have the correct gospel.
What a joke.

“You continue to follow the Didache, written by unknown authors”
You continue to be obtuse. Is that a predilection of yours? Read my comments. Misrepresenting me is also called lying. Is lying a virtue of yours?
I follow the Word of God. You follow yourself.
July 22nd, 2010 at 3:44 am
Did the Apostles write it? Was there not Division among the churches as seen in Paul’s letters? You continue to follow the Didache, written by unknown authors and I will continue to follow the written word of God. God has shown me the truth and that is what I will follow. I believe you would not accept it even if God Himself came down and showed you. You are like the Pharisees in the days of Jesus. You follow traditions and laws opposed to the Word of God.

“I won’t even respond to that. ”
Why not? Afraid of what the first Christians might show you? Or were they all Satanic? We see you for what you are. You are right and everyone else is wrong….including those who were closest to Jesus..the first Christians.
July 22nd, 2010 at 4:26 am
I won’t even respond to that. I can only feel sorrow that you are so blinded by Satan. It is even evident by the way you speak to others. We will all have to answer to God one day and by then, I hope and pray that you will have the right answers. God bless and may He have mercy on that day. Glory be to God and the Lord Jesus Christ alone forever and ever. “Whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.” John 3:21
