Are urban Pagans at a disadvantage if they have no fireplace in their apartment or other dwelling place?
Not in the slightest.
Why do you ask?

Of course not. Fireplaces are not the beginning or the end of being a pagan.

No, I’m not even sure what you think we’d need a fireplace for, so I can’t give further explanation without clarification from you.

No. Most people don’t use a fireplace as thier alter anyhow. Any one that I’ve met that does is a Heathen LOL
You can use candles for your flames. It’s symbolic nothing more. You work with what you have.

Don’t know what I’d need a fireplace for in my practice that my stove, hibachi, or a candle couldn’t handle.

As a Pagan? No.
As a human who enjoys a toasty fire in the comfort of their home on a cold winter night? Yes.

I live in a large city and we have a home with a fireplace. I’m not disadvantaged at all. Before we bought this house I lived in an apartment without a fireplace and I got along just fine without it. But now that I have one, I love it. The first and last fires of the year are very special to us and although we don’t use it as an altar, we do use it for religious acts of honor.
