The above translations are word for word correct. but the meaning is wrong. Seems to me that you met her on the internet and have seen each other once or twice. Youve decided to get an apartment (That YOU are going to pay for) and she is waiting for you to "help" her. What this means is she wants you to bring a lot of money and she is going to try and talk you into some bigger apartment than she thinks she could in an email. Also, if she doesnt have a great job and you use an inmobiliaria, you will have to pay up to 12 payments in advance into a CD that they hold for as long as you are in the apartment. Be prepared also that every "estrato" has variable service prices IE estrato 1 costs less than Estrato 6. And dont forget if you dont get a furnished apartment you have to get furniture. 12 de Octubre has nice stuff.. but its expensive.. and the big box stores have less well built stuff. There is no such thing as used furniture in Colombia. If the cover wears out it gets rebuilt and sold again. To furnish an apartment with decent stuff think somewhere in the neighborhood of at least 40,000,000,000 pesos. There are some furniture shops out on about 193 and tha autopista..
