One strong bee hive
This is a strong hive I keep in my apiary. Notice how worker bees wait for the entrance to clear while it is blocked.

ok well keep an eye out for swarm cells and if you see some, then you know that they are crammed for space

Ah, but I just added another chamber on a couple weeks ago to make 2, none of my hives are big enough to put supers on yet, but they are gettting there.

Usually if bees are sitting outside the hive, that means that they are squished for space in the hive. So i would recommend to put another honey super on, to give them more room

I’m having trouble with my hives and I could use some help. Every day when it gets hot, I see hundreds of bees fly out of every hive (yes I know why) to cool down the hive. The problem I think is that I see waaaaay more bees outside than there should be, almost like it seems to hurt their growth rate having to lose so many workers every day. I was wondering if any of you had any ventilation techniques you could share with me. It would help me a bunch, thanks.
